'A Polish Heart Beats Here' was co-curated with the Polish community in Newark over four months. The exhibition explores three main themes: remembrance, everyday life and culture and traditions. Through community loans, work by contemporary artists, and engaging interpretation; the exhibition highlights Newark’s ties to Poland, from the Presidents in Exile buried in the towns cemetery, to the twin town of Sandomierz, and the vibrant Polish community that now call Newark home. The exhibition was a finalist for the Association of Heritage Interpretation Engaging People awards in the Community category. (National Civil War Centre, October 2024-October 2025)
Threads of Time used objects from the National Civil War Centre's reserve collection to share local stories. I worked with local businesses to identity items linked to their sites or own trade. I also commissioned an artist to create a response to an object of their choosing from the collection with relevance to contemporary living. (National Civil War Centre, August 2025)
